Ring Joint Gaskets (RTJ)
High-Pressure Sealing
All Redpine Ring Type Joints are manufactured from traceable materials and are supplied to NACE specifications upon request. Each Ring Type Joint is identified by low stress stamping with style, ring number, API license number, material reference, Product Specification Level (PSL), a unique Dehu material identification number, and the month and year of manufacture. Such full and comprehensive traceability, from material source with mill certification to final supply, is an essential requirement in the company’s strict quality assurance procedures and compliances API 6A requirements.
R Type (Octagonal & Oval)
API 6A / ASME B16.20
The R Type Ring Joint Gasket fits the round and flat bottom ring groove flange. Available in both oval or octagonal, both types are interchangeable on modern octagonal type grooved flanges.
BX Type Ring Gaskets
High Pressure Specialist
These basic shapes of the Ring Joint Gaskets are used in a variety of applications with pressures up to 20,000 PSI. The dimensions are standardized and they require specially grooved flanges on which a corresponding “R” or “BX” number is assigned for pipe size and pressure class for gasket identification. All BX sizes have a pressure relief hole to equalize pressure across sealing faces.
RX Type Ring Gaskets
High-Performance Sealing
The RX has an increased height thet the internal system pressure to energies and improves the seal as internal pressure increases. Some RX sizes have a pressure relief hole to equalize pressure on both sides of the sealing faces.
